Steven leads the Property & Projects team at ClarkeKann, and has extensive experience in all aspects of property law.
He has acted for owners/developers and managers of major commercial properties, including shopping centres such as Australia Fair and Raptis Plaza, CBD buildings, integrated resorts such as Sanctuary Cove and Laguna Quays, residential developments, mixed use developments, and specialist precinct developments.
Steven specialises in development work involving complicated community titling and body corporate structuring and documenting those transactions.
In addition to Steven’s extensive technical skill, he holds an important leadership role within the firm. Steven brings a mindful and pragmatic approach to every situation, positioning him well to see the bigger picture for his team and his clients and leading to commercially astute outcomes.
Steven has been consistently listed in the Doyle’s Guide of leading lawyers in the areas of “Property & Real Estate Lawyers”, “Leasing Lawyers” and “Retirement Living & Aged Care Lawyers”.

Sale of industrial sites and advising on mixed use developments;
Numerous residential strata developments including – Vicinity Apartments, Hilltop Apartments, The Boatyard Bulimba and Omega Apartments;
Sovereign Islands and Harbour Quays residential developments;
Numerous residential strata and flat land developments including – Brookwater Fairways; Cutters Landing, New Farm; Ephraim Island, Gold Coast; Gainsborough Greens, Coomera; The Arbour on Grey, South Bank and Tennyson Reach;
Sale of retail and commercial centres;
Advising on the community titling and body corporate structure for a business precinct in the Greater Springfield Land Development;
Facilitating a transport corridor between Brigalow and Stanwell’s power station and involving complicated subdivisions and land swaps and various types of agribusiness agreements;
Numerous residential strata developments including – Bohemia West End and Ink Apartments.
Purchase and sale of Brisbane CBD property and acquisition of large Transport Orientated Development (“TOD”) site in Buranda and progressive development of the site for student accommodation and multiple residential strata and retail / commercial buildings.
Steven also has extensive experience acting for owners and property managers in all aspects of leasing and management of numerous retail / commercial buildings including hotels and shopping centres.

Acting in the leasing up of a Service Centre Development anchored by a major service station operator and a number of brand name fast food drive-thru outlets;

Management and sale of several hotels including – Full Moon Hotel and Grand Central Hotel;
Leasing of retail and commercial centres including – Aspley Hypermarket, Kawana Shopping Centre, John Oxley Building etc;
Managing the previous portfolio of Mirvac Hotels;
Managing QIC competitions run out QIC’s Australia-wide shopping centres;
Leasing of retail and commercial centres including – Taringa Central;
Leasing of retail centres in Grey Street, South Bank;
Leasing of ground floor retail in newly constructed Student Accommodation buildings in Buranda; and
Advising on agreements for lease and leases for industrial sites in regional Queensland.
