Sophie started her legal career in 2014 as a Graduate Lawyer at ClarkeKann and has had the benefit of working across the firm’s different practice groups. Her common sense legal skills and approachability have helped clients in a range of industries, a fact recognised by her promotion to Associate from 1 July 2016.

Advising this unique health food supplier on various commercial agreements to assist the expansion of product lines and distribution channels throughout Australia.
Assisting various private clients with the sale of their business assets.
Advising this Australian subsidiary of a Singapore listed company on various commercial agreements, the terms and conditions of its products and its compliance obligations.
Reviewing and advising on this private agrifinancier’s obligations and compliance requirements.
Advising and acting on behalf of liquidators to assist in recovering unfair preference payments and/or uncommercial transactions.
Acting on behalf of Owners Corporations to assist with drafting by-laws, negotiating with owners and builders and making applications at NCAT to resolve disputes.
Preparing and reviewing contracts for vendors and purchasers respectively as well as carrying through the sale or purchase to settlement. This includes drafting put and call option deeds, advising on stamp duty requirements as well as liaising with financiers.
Drafting commercial leases, sub-leases and assignments on behalf of landlords as well as advising and assisting tenants regarding their rights and obligations under commercial leases.
