Melanie was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 2013. She is committed to seeking commercial

Melanie has experience across a number of jurisdictions, providing advice and representation in corporations, bodies corporate and community management and property disputes, as well as general debt recovery and insolvency issues.
She also has experience in advising and acting for the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland in disciplinary proceedings and regulatory prosecutions.

Advising and acting for the Board on regulatory matters, including disciplinary proceedings in QCAT and prosecutions; Has also acted as Locum Senior Legal Officer for the Board, where necessary.
Advising Bodies Corporate, Body Corporate Managers and Management Rights owners on various aspects of the Body Corporate and Management Rights industry, including corporate governance and meeting procedures, by-law enforcement, defamation and transfers of Management Rights.
Acting for private clients (including advising and conducting proceedings) to recover debts for breach of contract.
Recovering a payment claim through the adjudication process for a contractor pursuant to the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act.
Acting for various Body Corporate schemes to recover statutory debts for unpaid contributions of lot owners pursuant to the Body Corporate and Community Management Act 1997.
Advising on bulk debt recovery and enforcement matters.
Advising on and recovering rental arrears and making good costs in the Supreme, District and Magistrates Courts of Queensland.
