Dick joined ClarkeKann in 2005 from the London office of White & Case and offers over 12 years of specialist commercial property legal experience.

His expertise includes developments, portfolio sales and purchases, infrastructure projects, international transactions, property finance, corporate mergers and acquisitions, sale and leasebacks and leasing.

Dick has acted on a range of matters including:

• Macquarie Bank Limited – advising on the acquisition, structuring, financing, development and sale of the Kirra Surf Apartments in Kirra, the Macrossan Apartments in Brisbane, XXV Breaker
• Street Residences in Main Beach and Coast Marine Parade in Labrador.
• Viridian Noosa Pty Ltd – advising joint venture partners Leighton Properties Pty Ltd and Macquarie Bank Limited on the financing, development and sale of Viridian Resort & Spa, Noosa.
• Private Developers – acting for retail and residential developers on a number of shopping centre and high rise coastal residential developments.
• Shell Petroleum – advising on the sale and leaseback of a portfolio of petrol service stations
• Toyota – acting for Toyota on the purchase, development and letting of new dealership premises for Toyota and Lexus franchisees.
• Exxon Mobil – acting on the real estate aspects of a $11.2b (Qatargas II) liquified natural gas project, including the sale and purchase agreements and leases for a gas terminal site and deep water jetty.
• Ernst & Young – advising on the development and pre-letting of large regional and national headquarters office premises.
• International Textile Company – project managing an international team of property lawyers across 3 continents and 12 jurisdictions on the property aspects of a $250m corporate acquisition.
• Esso Petroleum – advising on the acquisition of land and easements for the laying and diverting of oil pipelines.

Professional Background

Dick holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Glamorgan, Wales and is a solicitor of the Supreme Courts of Queensland, New South Wales and England & Wales.
