Legal Expertise ProfilePrior to joining CK in March 2010 Pip was a solicitor and subsequently a partner in a London based practice where she was a partner for approximately 20 years.
From 2000 until 2006 Pip was a consultant in the Sydney office of a national law firm. She has over 30 years experience in property law. Pip is a general property lawyer, but in recent years has concentrated on leasing, acquisitions and sales and corporate support due diligence. She has advised on matters across Australia. Pip has acted for Commonwealth institutions as well as State Owned Corporations, public companies, proprietary companies and individuals. Work Projects - Extensive experience in commercial and retail leasing for property owners and tenants, including retail leases for shopping centres under the Retail Leases Act (NSW) and equivalent legislation in other states.
- Involved in all aspects of residential and commercial conveyancing including mortgage and securities documentation.
- Extensive experience in advising on the property aspects of major due diligences in connection with the purchase of multi national businesses, national and state businesses and property investment acquisitions.
- Extensive experience in reviewing property documentation in portfolios to extract required information for owners.
- Drafting binding and non binding memoranda of understanding
- Extensive experience in acting for vendors and purchasers in the sale of commercial and retail property including high profile and multi let buildings.
- Acting for Landlords in connection with the legal aspects of general property management.
Professional Background Pip holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Liverpool UK. She is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and solicitor of the High Court of Australia. Pip is a member of the New South Wales Law Society, the Law Society of England and Wales. Until 2008 she was the Secretary of the Anglo Australasian Law Society and is a member of the Rural Fire Service.
