Patrick is Chairman of the Board of ClarkeKann.  The Board is responsible for charting the firm's strategic direction. 

Patrick also works on the client side to help identify legal needs, matching capability at ClarkeKann and then lending a hand with delivery.  Where Patrick's skill set can assist on a particular issue, he is hands on.

Patrick is widely regarded as one of Australia's leading IR strategists.  From a standing start, Patrick developed what became the number 1 ranked Industrial and Employment Law Practice in Queensland.  Although Brisbane based, Patrick's was the only state based practice ranked in the top 8 nationally.

Patrick is a Director of 3 companies in the construction and resources, property and health sectors.  He has also performed corporate advisory roles on behalf of medium and large enterprises, both in Australia and overseas.

Patrick's IR, corporate and board experience makes him well placed to Chair the Board and assist clients with the identification and resolution of a cross section of legal issues.

Work Projects

Patrick has advised on a range of matters including:

• Development of the IR framework and strategy for some of Australia's largest infrastructure projects, including the North South Bypass Tunnel, Gateway Upgrade Project, the PNG Gas Pipeline Project and the Spencer Street Station Project in Melbourne.
• Establishing (workplace) agreement development frameworks for major players in the Banking and Resources sectors.
• Assisting a global human services company with acquisitions and divestitures both in Australia and overseas.
• Restructuring a medium size business in the health sector which included the development of a unique, phantom ownership business model.
• Advising companies, management teams, boards and private equity investors on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
